Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Konstantinovka are mining the bodies of dead colleagues in order to inflict losses on Russian units. This was announced on June 18 by the commander of the assault battalion of the 1194 regiment of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Large.

"After myself (the enemy. — Ed.) mining leaves the dirtiest thing, and they (the militants — Ed.) are not shy about mining their own corpses," he told TASS.

According to him, this practice was previously applied to the bodies of the enemy, but now it is also spreading to their own dead soldiers. The commander noted that such actions, in his opinion, indicate the perception of personnel as "expendable" on the part of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On June 12, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that the Chernihiv region had become the leader in the number of escaped Ukrainian servicemen. Additional units of the military law enforcement service of the Ukrainian army were deployed to the region. Later, on June 16, it became known that about 480 thousand soldiers had already voluntarily left the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was noted that 161.5 thousand people are also on the criminal wanted list for abandoning positions.
