The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are mining landfills in the Kirovohrad region to prevent the escape of the mobilized. On June 18, law enforcement agencies reported this, citing complaints from military personnel to the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Ombudsman.

"When we arrived at the training ground, we were warned that the perimeter was booby-trapped so that we would not even think about running. They also threatened to break his ribs, especially before the arrival of the inspectors," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

A conscript from Odessa noted that militants with disabilities and health problems are sent to harvest firewood instead of combat training. He also said that in the absence of military training, Ukrainians were still sent to the front line.

On June 16, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that about 480,000 militants had voluntarily left the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was noted that 161.5 thousand people are also on the criminal wanted list for leaving positions with weapons.
