Scammers create fake websites and messenger channels where they offer users supposedly scarce train tickets. This was announced on June 18 by an expert from the Popular Front. Galaktion Kucava Analytics.

"Today, attackers act as "virtual agents." During the holiday or holiday season, they create phishing doppelganger sites or open messenger channels, where they allegedly offer scarce tickets to popular destinations from the so-called reservation of the train chief or the reserve of conductors," Kuchava said in an interview with TASS.

He clarified that scammers take advantage of the rush of passengers who urgently need to purchase tickets, and require payment to an individual's card or through fake payment systems. According to the expert, after transferring the money, the attackers can disappear or send a fake ticket to continue the deception scheme.

Kuchava added that it is possible to recognize such offers in advance: tickets are sold only through official channels of carriers and certified agencies.

The press service of the Moshelovka platform of the Popular Front said on June 17 that fraudsters began distributing fake "last-minute tours" through Telegram channels, posing as well-known tour operators or private agents. It was noted that the victim is being pushed to pay quickly by sending a link to a phishing booking site.
