The media reported on the request of the owners of the yacht Bright Future not to inflate the incident.

The owners of the British yacht Bright Future, which approached the Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich in the English Channel, asked not to inflate the situation. This was reported on June 17 by The Guardian newspaper.

"We just don't want this to be blown up to an incredible scale. <...> We all cross the English Channel so often, we don't need to turn this into a big incident," the British woman shared.

It is noted that the owner urged others not to be afraid to cross the strait. The publication clarifies that the yacht belongs to 69-year-old Jane Kelvey and her 70-year-old husband Alan.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that they had managed to severely damage this ship in Novorossiysk.

On June 16, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the yacht Bright Future, flying the British flag, made a dangerous approach to the frigate Admiral Grigorovich in the English Channel. The Russian sailors tried to contact the ship and used flares, but the yacht continued to approach. Then the Admiral Grigorovich was forced to fire warning shots, and only after that Bright Future changed course and began to move away.

Later, on June 17, it was reported that Bright Future was en route from the port of Lymington in the English county of Hampshire to France. It was noted that after the incident with the Russian frigate, the ship continued to move south and arrived at the port of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin at about 17:00 (19:00 Moscow time).
