A tank crew under the command of Sergeant Sobolev captured a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Attack aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation captured an important fortified stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with the support of a tank crew under the command of Senior Sergeant Yevgeny Sobolev. This was announced on June 18 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is noted that, defending themselves, the enemy actively used artillery, mortars, and also fired small arms and anti-tank weapons. During the observation of the battlefield, Sobolev promptly discovered enemy infantry and armored vehicles in their positions, after which he gave the order to destroy them. In addition, the fighter corrected the tank's fire, and also opened and eliminated enemy firing points in a timely manner.

As a result of the confrontation, Russian tankers inflicted significant losses on the Ukrainian Armed Forces in manpower and equipment. Thanks to Sobolev's competent actions, the stormtroopers managed to launch a counterattack and capture an enemy facility, which significantly improved the situation on the front line.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense reported on Ensign Denis Trutov, who, under constant shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, provided first and emergency aid to military personnel, personally participated in anesthesia, bandaging and stopping bleeding from wounds, supported the morale of personnel and evacuated the injured to a safe area.

The Ministry stressed that Trutov's selfless actions and professionalism helped preserve the lives and health of Russian servicemen, minimized losses, and ensured the unit's combat missions.

On June 17, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Lieutenant Yevgeny Grumeza, who was carrying out a combat mission as part of an assault unit, destroyed the AFU firing point along with the personnel inside. In addition, under the leadership of Senior Sergeant Anatoly Gabrilevich, who acted as part of the reinforcement group, the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces managed to destroy enemy reinforcements and prevent the return of their lost strongholds.
