The lives of children injured as a result of an attack by a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a bus in the Bryansk region are not in danger. This was announced on June 17 by Acting Governor Egor Kovalchuk.

"The boy, who is now in intensive care, has his mother next to him, she was also on the bus. The doctors' forecasts are favorable, the children's lives are not in danger," he wrote on the Maks messenger.

Kovalchuk noted that, if necessary, the affected children can be transferred to clinics in Moscow for treatment, but at the moment Bryansk doctors are providing all necessary assistance.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a bus carrying a children's football team from Gomel in the Bryansk region on the same day. Initially, it was reported that six people were injured in the incident, later this number increased to eight. The victim of the tragedy was one person, a woman who turned out to be the wife of one of the coaches.

On the fact of the incident, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on a terrorist act. Kovalchuk called the incident a planned action by Kiev, and the staff of the Belarusian Union of Journalists — a provocation. Minsk promised to identify all those involved in this strike and bring them to justice.
