Iran has threatened Israel with a harsh response over attacks on Lebanon.
The central headquarters of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya announced a tough response in the event of continued attacks by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Lebanon. This was announced on June 16 by the press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
"It is warned that if the army of the Zionist regime <...> does not put an end to evil in southern Lebanon, it should expect a harsh response from the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran," the Telegram channel said.
It is noted that over the past two days, the Israeli military has violated the ceasefire regime in Lebanon 84 times.
Israel's Defense Minister, Yisrael Katz, announced on June 15 that the IDF would remain in the security zones in Lebanon, Syria and the Gaza Strip indefinitely. Katz added that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had "made this clear" to US President Donald Trump and other senior American officials.
