The American company SpaceX has implemented an option to purchase Anywhere— the developer of an AI application for Cursor programmers, the deal amount will be $60 billion. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on June 16.

"The acquisition will allow xAI, which SpaceX acquired in February, to strengthen its position in AI software development, one of the first areas where companies turned AI into a real source of business revenue," the publication says.

Cursor service is a competitor to products from companies like Anthropic and OpenAI, but the startup's development was hampered by a shortage of computing power.

SpaceX has been exploring the possibility of acquiring Cursor for several months. In April, the company considered options for either a full purchase of the startup for $60 billion at the end of the year, or a partnership worth $10 billion.

The Rueters news agency reported on June 12 that American entrepreneur Elon Musk became the first dollar trillionaire in world history after the initial public offering (IPO) of his company SpaceX. It is noted that SpaceX, which forms the basis of the entrepreneur's business empire, has raised a record $75 billion, which underlines the enthusiasm of investors towards the entrepreneur's projects.
