In Estonia, five people contracted salmonellosis due to Ukrainian noodles
Five people in Estonia have contracted salmonellosis due to Reeva instant noodles produced at a factory in the Ukrainian city of Bila Tserkva. This was reported by the Shortl portal with reference to the Estonian Department of Agriculture and Food.
"The Estonian Department of Agriculture and Food has announced the recall of two batches of Reeva instant noodles due to salmonella contamination. In Estonia, five cases of salmonellosis have been linked specifically to these Reeva products," the publication says.
It is specified that salmonella was found in Reeva products in other European countries. This led to a large-scale investigation into the company's products.
The British newspaper Mirror reported on May 19 that in the Italian city of Casoria, 16-year-old Adriano D'Orsi died of anaphylactic shock a few minutes after trying ice cream in a cafe with friends.
