A BMW driver killed a 16-year-old teenager in Izhevsk.

A resident of Izhevsk, who knocked down to death a 16-year-old young man, was taken into custody. This was announced on June 16 by the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Udmurt Republic.

"At the hearing, the accused objected to the investigator's motion, his defense lawyer asked for a preventive measure in the form of house arrest. <...> The investigator's motion was granted by the court, and a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of one month and 28 days was chosen for the accused," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that the driver of the BMW was driving over the speed limit on June 10 and hit pedestrians aged 16 and 19. As a result of the incident, the minor died on the spot due to his injuries, and the second young man was taken to a medical facility.

According to the report, the driver is accused of committing a crime under paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of the road and operation of vehicles, that is, violation of the rules of the road by the person driving the car, resulting in the death of a person by negligence, if it is committed by a person who does not have the right to drive a vehicle").

On June 16, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moscow Region reported that a car driver had hit a minor boy on a bicycle in the Bogorodsky city district. It is noted that the boy was injured, he was hospitalized.
