Yegoryan became the silver medalist of the European Fencing Championship

Two-time Olympic champion Russian sabre skater Yana Yegoryan became the silver medalist of the European Fencing Championships. In the final, she faced Spain's Luizia Martin-Portugues and lost to her with a score of 13:15.

Yegoryan is 32 years old. She has won two Olympic gold medals, three world titles and six European Championships.

Russian fencers participate in international competitions in a neutral status. The tournament in Europe will last until June 21.
