In the Stavropol Territory, a man strangled a neighbor because of a conflict about pets

In Novoaleksandrovsk in the Stavropol Territory, a 43-year-old local resident was accused of murdering a 67-year-old neighbor during a scuffle that arose over a dispute about pets. This was reported on June 16 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.

The incident occurred on the morning of June 9th. According to the investigation, a conflict broke out between the neighbors after the man made suggestions about the woman's abuse of his pets. The verbal altercation escalated into a fight, during which the attacker strangled the victim with a rope. The woman died on the spot.

To hide the traces of the crime, the accused destroyed the evidence: he burned the rope that became the murder weapon and his clothes.

The man was charged with committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder"). Investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia have detained the suspect, the court has already chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention.

On June 12, a man suspected of murdering a 14-year-old teenager over a grocery bag was detained in Bashkiria. According to investigators, the defendant noticed a 14-year-old teenager leaving the store with a bag of groceries and attacked him in order to seize property. He stabbed the minor several times in the torso and arms, after which he fled with the stolen package.
