A new transport hub will appear in the capital's Biryulyovo Vostochnoye district.

The capital has approved a draft layout of a transport hub in the Biryulyovo Vostochnoye area. The corresponding decree was signed by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, according to mos.ru .

The transport hub will include the Lebedyanskaya metro station of the Biryulevskaya line under construction, as well as ground-based urban transport stops. In addition, it is planned to place an intercept parking and a multifunctional public and shopping complex on the territory.

The total building area will exceed 50 thousand square meters. m.

Construction and reconstruction of sections of the road network is planned to improve the transport accessibility of the area. The work will affect Lebedyanskaya Street and the side passage of Lipetsk Street. It is also planned to improve the surrounding area.

It is expected that the implementation of the project will create comfortable conditions for passengers of the future metro station.

The Biryulevskaya line will run from the territory of the former ZIL industrial zone to the Biryulyovo Zapadnoye and Biryulyovo Vostochnoye districts. The new line will house 10 stations. According to Sobyanin's estimates, its launch will improve transport services for more than 1 million residents of the capital.
