Schoolgirls who disappeared in Karelia have repeatedly run away from home to their older brother

The former pupils of the orphanage, a seven-year-old and a 12-year-old schoolgirl who disappeared in Petrozavodsk, were already running away from home. Their adoptive father Dmitry told Izvestia about this on June 16.

He explained that the children had repeatedly run away to their older brother, a 17—year-old boy who had recently returned from prison. According to Dmitry, the teenager behaves marginally and transmits to the sisters an "image of a free and carefree life," which contradicts family life. The foster parents did not interfere with their communication, but asked that it take place under their supervision, but the young man did not like such conditions.

"Their academic performance is good, the children are developed, everything is fine. But the appearance of their brother leads them astray. With his appearance, they began to devalue the role of parents. It is clear that they have some sarcasm about this," Dmitry said.

Before the disappearance, the children talked with their parents and a psychologist, and then asked to play ball in the yard. After a while, it turned out that the schoolgirls had left a watch with a GPS tracker at home — then the adults suspected another escape and contacted the police.

The girls' brother claims that he knows nothing about their whereabouts. At the same time, Dmitry is convinced that a teenager can conceal information and hide his sisters in a kind of "secret apartment", which was previously mentioned by schoolgirls.

Why was the game format chosen for this?

The sisters were reported missing earlier that day. It was clarified that Petrozavodsk police officers were looking for children. According to the Izvestia source, the girls are being raised in a foster family. On the evening of June 15, they visited their 14-year-old friend Milana, after which they went to the quarry, talked with other friends there, stayed for about an hour and went towards the store on Klyuchy Street. Their trail gets lost there.
