AvtoVAZ localized almost 2 thousand components for Lada in four years

Since 2022, AvtoVAZ, together with suppliers, has localized 1,825 automotive components and materials for Lada cars. Another 54 components are in the process of localization. The company's press service announced this in its Telegram channel on June 16.

It is stated that the localization level (the range of components supplied to the assembly line by Russian suppliers) for a number of Lada models (Largus, Vesta, Granta, Niva Travel and Legend) by the end of 2025 amounted to 96%.

The company shared such data following a meeting of the Committee for the development of cooperation and localization of production in the automotive industry of the Russian Engineering Union, which was held in Moscow. It was attended by Maxim Sokolov, President of AVTOVAZ, and Eduard Vaino, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of AvtoVAZ and Co-chairman of the committee.

"The focus of the discussion is the formation of proposals from the committee for the improvement of government Decree No. 719 on localization. The participants of the discussion advocated the preservation of uniform high localization requirements, which stimulate the development of the component industry and related industries," the automotive company noted.
