Trump called fake reports that the United States would pay Iran $ 300 million.
US President Donald Trump has said that information about Washington's alleged planned payment of $300 million to Iran is untrue and fake. On June 16, he wrote about this on the Truth Social social network, calling such messages "fake news" spread by the Democrats.
According to the American leader, Iran, as part of the agreement under discussion, agreed never to possess nuclear weapons. Trump stressed that this condition is a key element of the agreements between the parties.
"Also, the story that the United States is paying Iran $300 million is fake news spread by Democrats," he said.
Trump's statement came amid ongoing discussions about the parameters of a possible agreement between Washington and Tehran.
