Benze Retvari, a member of the Hungarian opposition Christian Democratic People's Party, promised to buy Prime Minister Peter Magyar a glazed cheese for each identified illegal migrant in specialized camps.

"If you find migrants in Chermayor, I will buy you a glazed cheese for each one," Retvari said at a parliamentary hearing, RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Retvari accused Magyar of preparing to accept the EU migration pact. According to the opposition MP, Magyar will then claim that Orban's previous government did this. Retvari called it a lie.

Magyar said on June 13 that the former authorities, led by Viktor Orban, were allegedly preparing to let hundreds of thousands of migrants into the country, although they publicly opposed this. According to him, the previous government began building a refugee camp near the border with Austria, planned to allocate millions of euros and create a "filtration zone," but abandoned this idea under pressure from local residents.
