- Araqchi pointed to the responsibility of the United States for the implementation of the future agreement with Iran.
Washington is responsible for complying with a potential agreement with Tehran, while Tel Aviv is responsible for stopping attacks on Lebanon. This was announced on June 15 by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
"Araqchi, referring to the responsibility of the United States for the implementation of the agreement, stated the need for a complete cessation of aggression and destabilizing attacks by the Zionist regime on Lebanon," IRIB quoted him as saying on the Telegram channel.
Araqchi made the corresponding statement in three separate telephone conversations with the Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, Egypt, Sameh Shoukry, and Iraq— Fuad Mohammed Hussein.
It is specified that the Iranian Foreign Minister highly appreciated the contribution of these colleagues to de-escalation in the region and the establishment of stability there. He also stated the need to continue interstate consultations and close cooperation on this issue.
The Iranian-American agreement is expected to be signed next Friday, June 19, in Switzerland. This information was confirmed on June 14 by US President Donald Trump, who also announced the imminent opening of the Strait of Hormuz. US Vice President Jay Dee Vance, in turn, said that the deal was supposedly capable of changing the Middle East for the next 50 years.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on June 15 that Moscow was counting on the materialization of encouraging statements on Tehran, which were made both by himself, Washington and Islamabad.
