Son of ex-lawyer Pashayev arrested in fraud case

The son of former lawyer Elman Pashayev, Elvin, was arrested in a case of fraud on an especially large scale. This was announced on June 15 by a source of Izvestia.

According to the source, the episode also mentions Moscow notary Alexander Fedorchenko, who had previously been involved in a number of questionable real estate transactions, including the legacy of the late World War II veteran Nikolai Kizyun, whose relatives tricked him into giving up his apartment.

Eight people were arrested in the criminal case, including Elvin. According to reports, the initiative to participate in the illegal transaction could have come from his father.

Elman Pashayev is in a pre—trial detention center - he is also accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud committed on an especially large scale"), the case was initiated on September 17, 2024. According to the investigation, in February 2024, a former lawyer at a meeting with blogger Elena Blinovskaya's husband Alexei convinced him of his ability to release his wife from criminal liability for a large sum. He handed over at least 18.5 million rubles and $300 thousand to Pashayev.
