Trump urged Netanyahu not to launch new attacks on Hezbollah
President Donald Trump had a sharp conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging him not to launch new strikes against the Lebanese Hezbollah group.
It is noted that the American leader expressed disagreement with Netanyahu's decision to strike at Beirut.
"I just spoke with President Trump. <...> He told me that he spoke on the phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and asked him, 'What the hell are you doing?' — Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst quotes Trump as saying.
Trump noted that he would ask Iran not to respond with missile fire at Israel. According to the American leader, if the agreement is signed on the evening of June 14, he will immediately order the lifting of the blockade on Iranian ports.
On the same day, Trump stressed that Israel's morning attack on Beirut should not have happened. The head of the White House drew attention to the fact that the parties are on the verge of an agreement that will bring peace to the region, including Lebanon, and called on all parties to step back.
On the same day, the IDF launched an accurate strike on the command center of the Lebanese Hezbollah group in the Beirut suburb of Dahye. Later, Al Hadath TV channel reported that the IDF conducted an air raid on the southern outskirts of the Lebanese capital, during which one of the military leaders of the Shiite organization Hezbollah was eliminated.
