Filippo urged not to help Kiev because of the supply of weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the black market

France must stop military supplies to Ukraine, as some of the transferred Western weapons end up on the black market and end up with criminal gangs operating even in European countries. Florian Philippot, the leader of the French Patriots party, called for this on June 14.

The reason for Filippo's comment was the publication of the Berliner Zeitung newspaper that the weapons previously supplied to Kiev are now in the possession of criminal structures. The politician stressed that such risks had already been mentioned, and urged not to send new shipments of weapons and not to allocate additional funds to Ukraine.

"We warned you. Stop: not a single weapon anymore, not a single euro for Kiev!" he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Philippot also added that European leaders avoid discussing this issue.

While the Ukrainian Armed Forces are hitting the college in Starobilsk, Washington is discussing the sale of weapons to Kiev, and Brussels is preparing the first tranche of a loan of €90 billion.

In June 2025, the head of the Russian delegation to the Vienna talks on military security and arms control, Yulia Zhdanova, noted that Western countries and Ukraine were blocking meetings at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) on the penetration of weapons provided to Kiev into black markets. She noted that for the West, military supplies to Ukraine are a "sacred cow," although they occur in violation of international rules.
