An elderly woman was injured during the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the Smolensk region.

In the Smolensk region, a private apartment building caught fire due to a drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), injuring an elderly woman. This was announced on June 14 by the governor of the region Vasily Anokhin.

"Last night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an attack on our region. In Vyazma, as a result of falling drone debris, a private apartment building was damaged and caught fire. Unfortunately, an elderly woman was injured," the head of the region wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Anokhin, the victim was taken to the hospital, her condition is assessed as stable, doctors are providing her with all necessary assistance. The fire in the house has already been localized. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and operational services are working at the scene.
