Fox News reported on Iran's agreement not to charge in the Strait of Hormuz
Iran has agreed not to charge ships in the Strait of Hormuz as part of a settlement agreement with the United States. This was reported on June 13 by the Fox News channel, citing a source.
"Iran will open a strategic strait where no fees will be charged," the publication says.
According to the TV channel, after signing the deal, the United States will lift the blockade simultaneously with the opening of the strait from Iran. Then mine clearance operations will begin.
Earlier in the day, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the United States and Iran were "closer than ever" to signing a peace agreement, and its final approval could be completed in the next 24 hours. According to him, after the approval of the document is completed, the parties are ready to immediately proceed to its electronic signing. The second stage should be negotiations at the technical level, scheduled for next week.
On June 11, Trump announced that Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei had approved the agreement with the United States. The American president noted that the final paperwork is expected in the coming days, and their signing may take place in Europe, while he himself will not be present at the ceremony.
