Wounded Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters die due to lack of medical care in Sumy region
In hospitals in Sumy region, cases of deaths of seriously wounded Ukrainian servicemen were recorded after their forced discharge from medical institutions — they died due to lack of qualified medical care. This was reported on June 14 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.
"At the moment, there are several known cases of deaths of seriously wounded servicemen who died due to lack of qualified medical care after being forcibly discharged from hospitals in the Sumy region," RIA Novosti reports.
The source clarified that due to the huge number of wounded soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the duration of stay in hospitals in the region is limited - treatment should not exceed three weeks. According to the agency's interlocutor, after this period, patients are discharged regardless of their condition, which in some cases leads to fatal outcomes due to the inability to continue the necessary treatment at home or in the field.
On May 18, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that medical workers in Kiev had confirmed the massive spread of hantavirus among soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region. It was noted that the spread of the disease is facilitated, among other things, by unsanitary conditions and rodents in positions.
