The Russian Foreign Ministry warned of a response in case of encroachments on diplomatic security in Poland

Any encroachments on Russian diplomatic property in Poland, including the closed Consulate General in Gdansk, will entail harsh retaliatory steps from Moscow. This was announced on June 14 by the Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexey Klimov.

"Polish rhetoric regarding claims to Russian diplomatic real estate is well known. If any attacks are made on Russian facilities in Poland, including the building of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Gdansk, the Russian side will be forced to implement rather painful retaliatory measures," he told RIA Novosti.
