The next holiday weekend awaits Russian citizens only in November, until then all working weeks will remain five days. Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, told about this on June 14.

The parliamentarian noted that the current week turned out to be shortened due to the celebration of Russia Day on June 12, on Friday, which made Thursday a short working day.

"Now, in accordance with the previously approved production calendar, we have no holidays until November 4, so there will be full—fledged working weeks," he told TASS.

According to the production calendar, residents of the country will have to work 20 full working weeks before the next holiday. The celebration of National Unity Day, November 4, in 2026 falls on a Wednesday, which will provide Russians with a single day off in the middle of the week.
