Dodik pointed to the desire of the West to "dissolve" the Republika Srpska
European diplomacy wants Republika Srpska to "dissolve" because it hinders the West and irritates Brussels. This was announced on June 13 by Milorad Dodik, chairman of the Union of Independent Social Democrats political party.
"They (the Europeans. — Ed.) they want the Republika Srpska to be abolished and actually dissolved. They do everything for this. We are annoying Brussels," he said in an interview with TASS.
Dodik drew attention to the fact that a trial was organized against him "bypassing the legal grounds." According to him, Bosnia (Republika Srpska is an entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina) picked up on this idea from Brussels and continued the illegal accusations against him.
In October 2025, Dodik told Izvestia that Western countries were carrying out attacks against Serbia and Republika Srpska, which led to internal destabilization. At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that Western countries were attempting a color revolution in Serbia. The Head of State stressed that the color revolution is an illegal seizure of power that does not lead to anything good.
