The American business suffered losses of approximately $100 billion due to withdrawal from the Russian market, including the sale of assets at a lower market price and loss of market share. This statement was made on June 13 by the head of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (AmCham) Robert Agee.

"We estimated that we had lost about $100 billion. <...> This is considered a loss of market share, or assets that were sold below their real value," Agee told RIA Novosti in response to a question about the losses of American business from leaving the Russian market.

He noted that these losses affected all commercial sectors.

On May 6, Estonian President Alar Karis noted that many European companies are waiting for the end of the conflict in Ukraine in order to resume work in the Russian market. He also stressed that many European companies are closely monitoring the development of the situation and some businesses are considering a possible return to the Russian market.
