France blocked a Russian man's bank account because of his place of birth

A Russian child adopted by French citizens more than 15 years ago had his bank account blocked because of his place of birth. This was announced on June 13 by the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Marseille, Stanislav Oransky.

"A Russian child who was adopted by French citizens more than 15 years ago and has long been granted French citizenship has had his account blocked by the bank due to the fact that Russia is indicated in the "place of birth" column," he told RIA Novosti.
