It became known about Sri Lanka's work on expanding flights with Russia
Sri Lanka is actively working to expand flights with the Russian Federation. This was announced on June 13 by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Employment Abroad and Tourism Ruwan Ranasinghe.
According to the official, the lack of convenient air transportation has a serious impact on the state's tourism industry. The authorities are taking all necessary measures to expand the geography of flights and make trips more accessible for tourists.
"As for the work of Sri Lankan Airlines, we have started discussing this issue. It is necessary to resolve some issues in the field of insurance. As soon as we fix this, we hope that we will be able to resume flights of our airline to Moscow, as it was before," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
