One person was killed and two injured in an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Bryansk region. This was announced on June 12 by Acting Governor Egor Kovalchuk.
"In the village of Suzemka, two civilians were injured as a result of a kamikaze drone attack. The injured were promptly taken to the hospital. The doctors did everything possible, but the injury was too severe, and one of the victims died," he said in a message on the Maks messenger.
The acting head of the Bryansk region expressed his condolences to the relatives of the deceased.
He also told about another victim, who turned out to be a woman from Starodub. She was also taken to a medical facility, where they are now providing all the necessary assistance. Kovalchuk wished the wounded a speedy recovery and promised to provide them with support and financial assistance.
The acting governor urged residents of the Bryansk region to take care of themselves and others, as well as to observe security measures against the background of the ongoing "inhuman and vile" attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Two civilians were also killed in an artillery strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Suzemka the day before. One of the victims of the Ukrainian militants was Alexander Nikitenkov, director of the Bryansk Forest Biosphere Reserve. Then, as a result of the attack, two people were also injured, who were handed over to the doctors.
