On June 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Alexander Matveev head of the Presidential Chancellery. The relevant decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on June 12.

"Appoint Alexander Anatolyevich Matveev as the head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation," the text of the document says.
