Ukraine has announced the issuance of the first medical prescriptions for cannabis

For the first time in Ukraine, prescription medications based on marijuana have been prescribed to patients. This was reported on June 11 by the Ukrainian TV channel Kyiv24.

"In Ukraine, for the first time, a drug based on medical cannabis was issued," the channel's Telegram channel said.

The first recipients were three residents of Vinnytsia. Among them is a woman suffering from multiple sclerosis, as well as two former servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) — their exact diagnoses have not been disclosed. Prescriptions for medicines were issued by specialists from local neurological and neuropsychiatric hospitals. The drugs were dispensed in pharmacies after the prescriptions were presented.
