French diplomats have made a proposal to reorganize the diplomatic service of the European Union (EU) and expand the powers of its head, Kaya Callas. This was reported by the Reuters news agency with reference to a document distributed on June 11 in Brussels and representing the point of view of EU officials and diplomats.

"The document reflects the opinion of many EU officials and diplomats that Brussels is too slow and disorganized in responding to emergencies due to disagreements between its institutions, leaders and governments of the 27 member states," the publication says.
