The average price of used cars in Russia increased by 1.5% in a month

The average price of a used passenger car in May 2026 in Russia was 1.43 million rubles, which is 1.5% more than in April of the same year. During the month, the indicator increased by 20.5 thousand rubles. This was reported on June 11 by the analytical agency Autostat.

As analysts noted, after the April price reduction (-1% compared to March), used cars rose in price again. The average price increase was recorded from January to March.

At the same time, compared to May last year, used cars turned out to be slightly cheaper than a year ago — by 0.2% or 2.8 thousand rubles, experts estimated.

From January to May, the share of dealer ads increased from 13% to 16% in the used car market against the background of a reduction in the presence of private sellers. In five months, their number increased by 5% to 35%, and the median discount on a used car at a dealer reached 4.5%.
