The USC declared the superiority of the Admiral Nakhimov cruiser over foreign ships

Heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser Admiral Nakhimov of project 1144.The 2M underwent a comprehensive modernization and surpassed its modern foreign counterparts in a number of key parameters. This was announced on June 11 by Andrey Puchkov, General Director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), at the Fleet-2026 International Naval Salon.

"The Admiral Nakhimov heavy nuclear missile cruiser has undergone a comprehensive modernization by replacing outdated complexes with modern weapons and armaments. Today, it surpasses modern foreign ships in a number of tactical, technical and operational characteristics," he told TASS.

Puchkov added that the cruiser is currently in the testing phase. According to him, after completing all types of tests, the Russian Navy will receive a modern ship capable of performing tasks anywhere in the World Ocean.

The final decision on the expediency of repairing the flagship of the Northern Fleet has not yet been made — in case of abandonment, the ship will be disposed of.

On June 4, the Chinese portal 360kuai noted that the Russian heavy nuclear missile cruiser Admiral Nakhimov could soon return to the Russian Navy and make the United States very nervous. According to Chinese analysts, the cruiser is a real "sea monster" and Washington's "worst nightmare", as it has no equal in firepower in the world.
