Izvestia News Center to discuss road safety at intersections

On June 16, at 11:00 a.m., a press conference dedicated to the launch of the All-Russian social campaign "Promoting Safety" will be held at the Izvestia News Center.

What are the statistics of accidents at intersections? What violations most often cause accidents? What measures will help reduce the number of accidents, as well as the number of dead and injured? How to create a culture of safe behavior among all road users?

Participants:

-Oleg Ponariin, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Major General of Police;

-Igor Korolev, General Director of the Directorate of the Program "Improving Road Safety";

- Anton Kozlov, Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Road Management of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation;

-Ekaterina Sukhova, Head of the Project Coordination and Budget Execution Department of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation;

- Vadim Melnikov, expert of the social campaign "Safety Promotion", member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

The All-Russian social campaign "Safety Promotion" is being implemented within the framework of the federal project "Road Safety" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life".

The organizers are the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with the support of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
