In the Kharkiv area, Russian interceptor drones shoot down targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and operators video-communicate with university classrooms directly from the trenches. This was reported on June 11 by Izvestia correspondent Tatiana Simonenkova.

"A difficult situation in the sky. Now every departure for a combat mission is accompanied by such a sound. They are working on drones again," the correspondent said.

In the Kharkov direction, the North group of troops is at the forefront of the "technological struggle." Enemy UAVs were shot down in various ways, depending on their modification and altitude. So, the calculation of the 244th artillery brigade of the 11th Army Corps launched an air defense drone, which went to ram. At the same time, it takes three to four minutes for the board to be in the air. The Lightning drone reaches a speed of about 200 km/h, can find and intercept a target by itself, giving the operator a high-quality image.

"The payload is being installed, that is, the BC. When an enemy UAV approaches, it is detonated. Or there is a second option: it goes directly to the ram," said the commander of the BPS department with the call sign Electrician.

It is noted that the senior technician of the company, a fighter with the call sign Via, worked as a loader driver in the civil service, and is now responsible for vehicles in the 65th separate regiment of unmanned systems.

"The importance of my work is that my equipment must be serviced in a timely manner, undergo technical maintenance, and be refueled. Always ready. If she doesn't go, the tasks will be disrupted, and this is unacceptable," said the senior technician of the company.

In addition, Via, without interrupting combat missions, receives higher education. The soldier decided that the construction skills would be useful both at the front and later in civilian life. The commander lets him go to the session. Via also shared his experience with the students.

It is specified that this year two students signed a contract and went to serve in the Unmanned Systems Troops, but continue their studies in educational institutions.

"It is very exciting that education is available at any age, and there is a need for it. Patriotism, responsibility, and determination are three characteristics that speak for themselves about a person," said Viktor Uvarov, director of the educational institution.

UAV units are helping artillery to clear the way for attack aircraft that are pushing Ukrainian militants away from the state border. In parallel, the so-called drones are working in the rear areas, as well as depriving the Armed Forces of supplies and striking critical infrastructure.

Pavel Babinetsky, a student of Bryansk State Technical University (BSTU), a UAV operator of a separate battalion of unmanned systems of the North group of forces, spoke on June 4 about his decision to sign a contract and serve in the BPS. He clarified that during the training he could not remain indifferent to the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on his native Bryansk region. At the same time, the private is currently consolidating his skills at the training center of the engineering troops of the North group of forces to improve the training of BPS operators involved in performing special tasks.
