A state of emergency has been introduced in the Nizhneilimsky district of the Irkutsk region in connection with forest fires. The gorenje area exceeds 1.1 thousand hectares.

According to IrkutskMedia news agency, there are two major fires. One of the fires is 14.5 km away from the village of Lingonberry. 83 people and 24 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire. There is no threat to human settlements. The introduction of an emergency regime was required to attract additional forces.

There are restrictions on visiting forests and using open fires in the district. In case of violation of fire safety rules, the fine will range from 20 to 400 thousand rubles.

The emergency mode is also in effect in the Chun district. The reason was a fire near the village of Chervyanka, the area of which grew to 1.5 thousand hectares.

In Yakutia, 82 violations of fire safety rules in forests have been detected since the beginning of the fire season. The fines amounted to 1.2 million rubles. 11 culprits of forest fires have been identified.
