Last night, militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) made another attempt to attack a number of bridges in the Kherson region. This was announced on June 11 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hit bridges in the Kherson region. Last night, the enemy attacked the bridges over the North Crimean Canal in the area of Preobrazhenka and Mirny, the automobile bridge in the direction of Perekop - Armyansk, as well as the bridge near the village of Stavki," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The head of the region clarified that damage had been detected at the attacked facilities. Specialists are currently working at the scene to inspect and clarify the condition of the structures. Information about the restoration of traffic will be provided separately.
In total, as Baldo added, over the past night, air defense systems eliminated 45 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Kherson region. He explained that the Ukrainian Armed Forces intend to damage the transport infrastructure.
The day before, the Ukrainian Armed Forces once again attacked the Kherson region, where the bridge connecting Arabatskaya Strelka with Genichesky was damaged as a result of the incident. Traffic was first blocked there, and later restored to reverse traffic. It was emphasized that one of the lanes of this transport facility would be blocked due to repairs being carried out there.
