The film "Pinocchio" was shown at the Russian Film Festival in Serbia
The Russian-made film "Pinocchio", which became a reinterpretation of the famous fairy tale, was shown at the Russian Film Festival, which takes place in Serbia from June 9 to June 30 as part of the interstate Days of Spiritual Culture.
A new film adaptation of the legendary work of writer Alexei Tolstoy, created with the support of the National Media Group (NMG), was shown to Serbian audiences on one of the first days of the festival. The director himself, Igor Voloshin, was present at the screenings, for whom the resulting project became one of the most iconic.
"Trying to do something different and new under this name after the absolute hit of all time, the producers and other creators had a risk, but not me for sure, because I wanted to tell my story," he shared in an exclusive interview with Izvestia.
One of the audience, who came to the cinema with her children, said that the movie was fantastic. She noted that the film was made using modern technologies and advanced capabilities.
The festival, organized by Roskino and supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, will be held in 10 cities of the republic. It is expected that this event will become a "live dialogue" with the audience, who will enjoy exciting film evenings, workshops on film animation and an introduction to the work of film studios.
On May 15, Art Pictures Distribution, a part of NMG, presented the Pinocchio film story to its foreign partners at the Cannes Film Festival. NMG pays great attention to international cooperation. In 2025 alone, the holding's content was sold to 90 countries.
Medialogia, in turn, presented the top 30 Russian series ratings for April 2026 on May 29. The series "Molodezhka" became the leader (2057 points). For the first time since January, the rating was topped by a Russian project. The top five also included the TV series "Boys" (The Boys, 2013 points), "Magic Battle" (1839 points), "Daddy's Daughters" (1788 points) and "Univer" (1682 points).
