The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) does not recognize the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) responsible for the shelling of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). This was announced on June 11 by the Governor of the Zaporizhia region Evgeny Balitsky.

"I spoke with (IAEA Director General Rafael). — Ed.) Grossi more than once, and, in general, they don't even recognize who is shooting at the nuclear power plant," Balitsky said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Balitsky said on June 10 that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were specifically attacking the nuclear power plant in order to distract the attention of the world community from their own failures.

Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, expressed the opinion on June 8 that the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) evasion from determining the responsible party in the attacks on the NPP actually encourages new attacks on the plant. The diplomat also stressed that the agency did not give a clear assessment of the violation of the silence regime at the station, which was agreed to repair the main external power supply line.

Alexey Likhachev, Director General of the Rosatom State Corporation, said on June 7 that Kiev, by organizing attacks on the nuclear power plant, was trying to completely exhaust and psychologically suppress the plant's employees. Likhachev stressed that Kiev's actions are devoid of logic and common sense.
