Zakharova offered to pay UNESCO for tickets to Sevastopol to visit the panorama

On June 10, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, offered to personally buy tickets for the UNESCO secretariat staff to Sevastopol so that they could see with their own eyes the consequences of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the panorama museum "Defense of Sevastopol 1854-1855".

The diplomat noted that the UNESCO press service had received a message about concern about the damage to the museum. However, the organization stated that its experts had no access to the site of the attack.

"Worried? Have we been transferring money to UNESCO for this for decades? No access, you say? There is access. I can personally buy tickets for the "secretariat staff," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

She also offered to take UNESCO representatives to the sites of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks on Russian journalists, as well as to visit Starobilsk with them.

"Let them look with their own eyes at the traces of the monstrous crimes of the inhumans against Bankova and, after seeing what they see, compare their real feelings with concern," the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the panorama "Defense of Sevastopol 1854-1855" earlier on June 10. The governor of the city, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that as a result of the incident, the building was almost completely destroyed. The strike was carried out by a drone with a shaped charge that burned through the roof of the building.

Mikhail Smorodkin, director of the museum, clarified that the panorama "The Defense of Sevastopol in 1854-1855" was in danger of complete destruction. Later, Razvozhaev noted that the canvas was completely burned out, while all the necessary materials were preserved in digital form, so the panorama will be recreated. Zakharova said that the Panorama Museum "Defense of Sevastopol 1854-1855", damaged as a result of the drone attack, will be restored.
