Putin signed a law on the seizure of property of violators abroad
On June 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that introduces a mechanism for seizing the property of Russians who have committed administrative violations against the interests of the country and are abroad. The relevant document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on June 10.
The new law covers such offenses as discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, calls for international sanctions against the country, propaganda of Nazi paraphernalia, as well as the production or broadcast of extremist materials. In addition, assets can be seized for evading fines under these articles.
