Roskachestvo named profitable ways to store money in banks
On June 11, experts from the Roskachestvo Center for Financial Expertise told Izvestia about the advantages of financial "migration" between credit institutions to maximize deposit returns.
According to experts, with the current key rate of the Bank of Russia at 14.5% per annum, the average interest on deposits for a period of three to six months is about 11-12%. At the same time, some banks, as part of attracting a new audience, offer returns of 14% or higher due to "welcome" allowances.
"Banks are actively competing for liquidity. That is why the most generous interest rates are always offered to new clients who have not previously been serviced at this institution or have not had active accounts there for a long time," explained Roskachestvo.
Similar conditions apply for "new money" — funds that are transferred from other financial institutions. Experts recommend disabling automatic deposit prolongation, as it most often occurs at a reduced base rate. Transferring savings to another bank after the end of the deposit period is called the most effective way to record high profits.
Similar mechanics apply to savings accounts. Most credit institutions set the maximum rate only for the first two or three months. Financially literate consumers are advised to use the promotional period, after which they transfer their savings to the next bank with attractive terms.
Roskachestvo also recalled the need to observe security measures and ignore schemes with abnormal returns, including those related to cryptocurrencies and unregulated exchanges. When choosing a new organization, it is important to check its participation in the state deposit insurance System.
On April 8, it was reported that the average level of real rates on credit cards in February reached almost 50% per annum. The press service of the Central Bank explained that banks sought to increase the marginality of credit cards, as a significant part of borrowers prefer to use them only during the grace period.
