A phased renovation of Sovetskaya Street has begun in Pskov.

In Pskov, on Wednesday, June 10, repair of Sovetskaya Street started. The work will take place in stages, said the mayor Boris Yelkin in his channel in the messenger "Max".

First of all, the section from Victory Square to Nekrasov Street will be repaired, the Pskov News feed writes. In this regard, from July 11, one-way traffic will be introduced there in the direction from the square.

According to the mayor, travel clothes will be replaced on Sovetskaya Street, sidewalks and green areas will be improved, and lighting at pedestrian crossings will be updated.

"I ask drivers to plan routes in advance and be understanding of temporary inconveniences – all these measures are necessary to put the road in order," the mayor added.

Earlier it was reported that a temporary bridge over the Gdovka River will be built in the Pskov region. This is necessary for carrying out major repairs of the main structure.
