An elderly lipchanka caught fire from a candle on her pillow

A 71-year-old resident of the regional capital with severe burns was admitted to Lipetsk City Hospital No. 3. She is currently in intensive care.

According to Ilya Kopylov, head of the burn department, the pensioner was holding a burning candle on a pillow, which caused it to catch fire. The fire spread from the pillow to the woman.

As a result, the victim received burns of 18% of the body surface of the most severe IV degree. Her torso and arms are damaged.

According to GOROD48, a 40-year-old man with burns of 20% of his body was also admitted to the hospital. At four in the morning, he poured boiling water over himself.

In connection with what is happening, doctors ask citizens to be careful at home, as this is not the first time such cases have occurred. Earlier, a pensioner from the Gryazinsky district had his clothes on fire because the gas stove was on.
