The Telegraph reported on the EU's assistance to Ukraine in developing an analogue of Patriot missiles.

The United Kingdom, France and Germany will help Ukraine create a joint analogue of the American Patriot air defense system. This was reported on June 10 by The Telegraph newspaper, citing sources.

The plan is for Ukraine's defense industry to create interceptor missiles, and Britain and its allies to develop radars, tracking and guidance systems.

"Ukraine's role is to produce anti—ballistic interceptors, and we are already testing them," the source said.

According to the second interlocutor of the newspaper, it is necessary to combine all developments to create the European Patriot system, which will be much cheaper and with the possibility of scaling production.

The publication clarifies that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, during recent talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, convinced the organization to act as a coordinator in the development of a new system. It is noted that after that, alliance officials held meetings with representatives of companies from the defense industry and national security advisers of the countries.

The War Zone magazine (TWZ) reported on May 19 that Ukraine's creation of an aerial bomb with universal planning and correction modules (UMPC) could allow Kiev to circumvent the formal restrictions of Western partners on the choice of targets for strikes on Russian territory. The publication notes that the rapid development of a Ukrainian planning bomb may indicate an urgent need for such weapons.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov also said on May 19 that Russia was determined to militarily and technically fend off any threats posed to it. According to the diplomat, Moscow regularly warns Western opponents about the risks they pose. Ryabkov stressed that Russia expects to cool down the "hotheads" in the capitals of NATO countries in this way.
