Sheep farmers of Transbaikalia were allocated 15.5 million rubles of state support

In Transbaikalia, sheep farms have received state support. The funds will be used to develop the production of fine and semi-fine sheep wool.

The regional authorities have allocated 15.5 million rubles for these purposes. They were distributed among 19 farms in Ononsky, Borzinsky, Mogoituysky, Aginsky and Kyrin districts, the ChitaMedia news agency clarifies with reference to the regional Ministry of agriculture.

Recipients of subsidies are expected to produce and sell about 81 tons of wool to Russian processing enterprises this year. The subsidy rate is 185 rubles per 1 kg of sheep products. Some farms have an increased coefficient of support, which is applied if the fleece produced meets international quality standards.

The agency notes that since 2017, the compensatory subsidy for sheep's wool has more than tripled. The rate was increased on the initiative of the Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory, Alexander Osipov. The goal is to support an industry that has previously suffered due to falling global prices for textile products.

Earlier it was reported that a new measure of support for young mothers was approved in the Trans-Baikal Territory. We are talking about housing subsidies of 1.6 million rubles for full families and 1.2 million rubles for incomplete families. It can be given to women under the age of 25 at the birth of their first child.
