Epstein's victim talks about dinner with Prince Andrew at Buckingham Palace
A woman claiming years of sexual and psychological abuse by financier Jeffrey Epstein told members of the Oversight Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives about a visit to the royal residences of Great Britain and a dinner in Prince Andrew's private apartments at Buckingham Palace. "Her testimony marked the first time a woman who had been sexually assaulted by Epstein had publicly announced visits to royal residences," the publication said.
As follows from the published transcript of the testimony, Sarah Kellen said that she attended the celebration of the 18th birthday of Princess Beatrice at Windsor Castle, and also visited the residence of Prince Andrew with Epstein.
According to Kellen, during these meetings, she did not observe any inappropriate behavior on the part of Prince Andrew. Earlier, a representative of the British royal family repeatedly denied the accusations against the Duke of York.
During the hearing, the woman also spoke about her experience working for Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. She stated that she had been subjected to manipulation, psychological pressure and violence for more than ten years.
In addition, Kellen mentioned meetings with a number of well-known politicians and entrepreneurs, including former US President Bill Clinton, entrepreneur Bill Gates and US President Donald Trump. At the same time, she did not make any accusations of illegal actions against them.
According to the woman, Epstein's acquaintances with influential people around the world reinforced her sense of helplessness and the belief that the financier has wide connections and influence.
Kellen's testimony was the first public testimony by a woman claiming violence from Epstein, about visiting the royal residences of Great Britain. Representatives of Buckingham Palace and Princess Beatrice had not commented on the statements made at the hearing at the time of publication.
